Connect a custom domain

Guide R05 Plumfolio

Your site uses an address provided by Plumfolio. If your subscription allows it, you can also use a domain you own.

Understand your addresses

The Plumfolio subdomain lets you publish without immediately buying a domain name. A custom domain uses your own identity, for example www.mystudio.com.

Add a domain

  1. Open Settings → Domain.
  2. Choose the option to connect a custom domain.
  3. Enter the domain you own.
  4. Review the DNS records Plumfolio provides.
  5. Add those values with your domain registrar.
  6. Return to Plumfolio to check the connection.

Wait for DNS propagation

It may take some time for DNS changes to appear everywhere. If verification fails, check the values, any conflicting old records, and the HTTPS certificate status.

Change an existing domain

Check how changing a domain may affect links you have already shared and visitors using the old address.
